Kylie is one of the sweetest seniors i’ve met. I loved Kylie’s outfit choices to create truly colorful senior pictures. Bright & colorful is always my “thing”! My favorite part of our time together however, was when she surprised me with an adorable pink owl she created especially for me in her ceramic class. The most thoughtful gift and one I look at often, reminded of the priceless relationships my career allows me to created.

When I first heard about The Pinky Girl I knew I had to meet them! At ages 14 & 17 they have started a HUGELY successful monogram business out of their home! With over 16k followers on Instagram & a feature article in the Raleigh News and Observer I was beyond impressed with their vision, focus & work ethic. Of course, the fact they use the word “pink” in their business name, didn’t hurt either. 😉 We decided what better way to celebrate Pink than a Valentines Day inspired photoshoot!
A big thank you to The Cupcake Shoppe in Raleigh for the equally delicious & adorable cupcakes as well as letting us use the shoppe as a backdrop for our shoot. ( it was way to cute inside, not to stay and shoot a few images). Bevello in Cameron Village for the super chic & valentines inspired outfits and to Denise of Images by Denise for the girls fabulous, i mean fabulous hair & makeup!
The Pink Girl Monograms
There are those moments, where at the time you have no idea that a simple comment or “tweet” as it were, will bring such a wonderful friend into your life. Diana and I “met” on twitter a few years ago over our mutual love for photography. Over the years we’ve shared email, tweets & skype sessions to keep in touch, last month our worlds finally came together when I attended Imaging USA that happen to be being held in Diana’s city. I’m sure it was God’s perfect way of bringing us together. Not only is Diana an awesome Photographer & LifeStyle Blogger but she also happens to model for FORD. So, we did what photographer do when they get together. We had a photo shoot to update Diana’s FORD book!
ps. It always blows my mind when I meet people I feel like i’ve been friends with for year. Diana is one of those friends! 😉
