Gina | Pink Owl Photography | Indianapolis Senior Photographer

Gina, a Senior at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis, braved a 30 degree day over Thanksgiving break to have her Senior Pictures taken. You would never guess it from the images but she was FREEZING. We took lots of small breaks and I wrapped her, head to toe in fuzzy blanket to warm up, then she braved the cold again. All in the name of beautiful images! Gina is a headed to my archenemy this fall… IU ( clearly I graduated from Purdue.. *boiler up*) but I won’t hold that against her. :)

    and the winner is …….

ahhhh this contest had me on pin’s and needles. you all were so passionate about your friends, many of you showing your support day after day,  that brought a huge smile to my face. i started counting votes early this morning  and boy were there a lot and in many different places. I came up with a total for morgan and a total for erin that was only a two vote difference. I tried my best to keep track of who had voted where, on what days, and should their vote be counted, etc. with the vote being so close, I decided I really only had one option…. I would just pronounce them BOTH winners!!!!!!

Congratulations Morgan and Erin you have both one a complimentary photo session with pink owl photography. I’m soooooooooooooooo excited to meet you, and create fabulous images for you!

Sophia | Pink Owl Photography | Louisville Senior Photographer

Sophia is a Senior at Manual Highschool. She pretty much blew me away when I started giving her posing direction and she could nail a “fierce face” mere seconds after bursting out in laughter. I’ve never met a Senior who can go from one extreme to the next so quickly. Of course, I had to mess with her a bit after I figured this out, making her laugh then saying ok quick serious. It was hysterical.

top 3 finalist for our glamourous photo session

So….  I hate making decisions, and choosing our top three was tough, but I am so excited to share who we will be voting on for the next week!

After you read about the Top 3 finalist.. scroll to the bottom of the screen to to vote!!!

    Top 3 Finalist

1 – ONE:  Morgan Bush ( nominated by Stephanie )

Morgan is a person who deserves a wonderful photo session and the chance to have a day to herself! I own a small business in Louisville and it’s success would never be without Morgan. She works hard, she works when she doesn’t have to, and she is always there as a friend and a coworker. She is not only a great friend, she is an outstanding wife! She supports her husband with a smile as well as their furry child Jax! This hard working girl needs to be pampered & her beauty captured on camera :)

2 – TWO: Erin ( nominated by her sister Amanda)

I am nominating my younger sister Erin for this glam session. Erin is 18, a senior in high school and a genuine sweet heart. She hasn’t had the easiest life. She had to grow up faster than she should have. Erin is about to go off to college this fall and she has hopes of traveling the world and joining the peace corp. I would love to win this for her so she has a day just for her and a chance to have “senior” photos taken. She has never had professional pictures taken. I love her with all of my heart and believe me NO one deserves this more. ( Erin is the blonde!! )

    3- THREE:  Sara

Hi – My name is Sara and I haven’t had professional photos done since my high school graduation almost 11 years ago. I recently had jaw reconstruction for an extreme underbite, I now have gorgeous smile and love to show it all the time! I would love to have some professional pictures for my upcoming graduation form graduate school with my master’s degree in library and information science! I would especially love to replace those hideous graduation pictures on my grandmother’s wall too! In my spare times, I work at a veterinary clinic here in Louisville, KY!! ( Sara is the brunette)

Tres Chic Tuesdays: Spring Style #1 | PinkOwl Photography

I know, I know, it’s still freezing outside and our fashion at the moment consists of throwing a scarf on to stay warm, but it’s never to early to think about the SPRING & the latest fashion trends. Spring Style is going to be  a three part blog ( for now anyway maybe more) post to get you ready for SPRING & your Senior Pictures.

My first favorite trend is: BRIGHT MINT

I LOVED my mint pants in 2012 and guess what!!! The trend is STAYING and strengthening for 2013. Throw MINT into any outfit you put together to make it pop and create a fashion feel.

Below are some of my favorite mint pieces. Use mint as your main color or throw in a few accessories to spice up your outfit. Either way, including MINT in the mix will get you in good with the fashion police this year!
